The treatment itself takes only about 30 minutes. However, there is a waiting period for the topical anesthetic to take effect. You should plan for your total appointment to take approximately 90 minutes.

No. The areas to be treated are numbed with a topical anesthetic. You may experience a pressing sensation as the tissue contracts in response to the heat. However, the treatment is not painful.

Many patients realize tighter-looking skin after a single treatment. Enhanced results appear with each subsequent treatment.

No special preparation is necessary before a Scarlet SRF treatment. However, it is best to avoid extended periods in the sunshine in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment and to refrain from taking Advil or aspirin before treatment. There is no need to apply skincare products or makeup on the day of your treatment as it will all be removed before treatment.

Scarlet SRF is a non-surgical, minimally invasive esthetic treatment with no recovery period. Your face may feel sensitive after your treatment. Tenderness, swelling, and redness may result but typically resolve within a few hours.
